We accept pigs Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (and Tuesdays after a Bank Holiday) however they must be on site by 10am.

So long as your trailer is clean and sound and fit for the job this is fine.

Occasionally we’re able to arrange collection of your livestock; however we can provide contact details of several specialist livestock hauliers.
All livestock is entered onto our computer system and for each consignment a unique batch number is created. This accompanies the animal through the process and is printed onto carcass tickets at the weigh/grade stage. John Penny staff and Food Standard Agency officials ensure that this procedure is adhered to and unique traceability is available for all stock passing through the plant. Ear tags and slap marks also ensure that we can identify all livestock.
Yes, we have vehicle wash facilities available. In the event of any notifiable disease outbreaks (e.g. FMD) all vehicles have to be sanitised prior to departing from our premises to ensure risk is minimal.
Yes, you may leave clear instructions or we can ask one of our butchers to call you to discuss the options and optimum hanging time.
